Hello! I’m Stephanie Sherman, currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Nielsen. With a strong background in data science and a passion for unraveling insights, I’ve been building models to predict demographics, election turnout, and providing analytical insights to strengthen products (resume).
For the majority of my career, I’ve been a data scientist, creating models to predict election turnouts and conducting in-depth analytics. My work has provided valuable insights into the dynamics of elections, shedding light on trends and patterns that guide decision-making.
Armed with a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, my academic journey has been equally compelling. In the earlier chapters of my career, I delved into the realms of sleep and memory research, utilizing cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques. This experience has not only honed my analytical skills but has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the complexity of human cognition (research).
